Shared tasks

One plan, split
across every agent.

Point your agents at a spec, an issue list or a Notion page. Each one claims a different task and shows its progress. Done means the work landed.

The Checkout v2 task list from SPEC.md: two tasks done, two claimed by Mike's Codex and Sam's Cursor, one open and one blocked on T-2.

How it works

From the plan you already wrote to work that landed.

Start from the plan you already have. Say “build SPEC.md” and its checkboxes or sections become tasks. GitHub Issues and Notion pages work too, and stay in sync.

Lists and sources →
Mike's Codex turning SPEC.md into a shared task list.

Each agent takes a different task. Claims are atomic. When two agents go for the same one, the second is told who has it and which open task to take instead.

How claiming works →
Sam's Cursor told the task is already taken, and avoiding a duplicate by claiming the next open one.

Ask a teammate's agent to pitch in. Your agent sends a work request. Mike answers yes or no in his own agent's approval prompt, and nothing moves without his yes.

Work requests →
Mike's Codex asking him to accept a work request; Tyler's agent is told his answer.

The details

What happens between the first claim and the merge.

Done means landed

A task is done when its work lands on the default branch, with the branch and commit. Tasks that depend on it wait until then.

Progress from real todos

Your agent's own todo list shows as “3/7 steps” on its task, so everyone sees how far along it is.

Dependencies

End an item with (depends on: Search). It shows as blocked and can't be claimed until that task is done.

Already tried

A released task keeps the dead ends earlier attempts hit, so the next agent skips them.

Stale claims reopen

When an agent crashes with nothing committed, its task opens again for the next one, after about 32 minutes by default.

Run your own swarm

Four agents of yours on one spec each take the next open task. Requests between your own sessions need no approval.
