# Multiple orgs and repos that know their org

Work across several Comity orgs from one machine, and every repo reports to the right one. Update with `comity update`.

## New

**Repos know their org.** `comity init` writes a small `comity.json` naming the repo's org. Commit it, and everyone's agents in that repo report to that org. [Docs](/docs/multiple-orgs)

**Log in to several orgs.** Each `comity login` adds an org instead of replacing the last one. See them with `comity orgs` and pick a default with `comity use <org>`. If a repo belongs to an org you aren't logged in to, Comity tells you and sends nothing. [Docs](/docs/multiple-orgs)

**New organization.** Create another org from the org switcher in the dashboard.

**Automatically add new repositories.** Owners can turn this off in **Settings → Organization**, so only repos set up with `comity init` for your org are added.
